Option 1

Sell an approved item directly

Yellow City Tech may purchase useful devices and components after an in-person inspection and functional testing. Final approval and payment require the item to be brought in. Photographs, descriptions, and online conversations can support a preliminary evaluation, but they do not complete the sale.

Approved regular purchases can be paid in cash. In some cases, Yellow City Tech may be able to arrange payment through a service you already use, such as PayPal or Venmo. Electronic payout is discussed individually and is not guaranteed for every purchase.

Listing a category here does not guarantee an offer, minimum value, immediate payout, or acceptance of every item.

Option 2

Trade in a part during an upgrade

When you upgrade through Yellow City Tech, an approved part may be traded in as part of the project. After the original part is removed, inspected, and tested, the agreed trade-in value is returned to you as a refund.

The refund is finalized after testing. It is not store credit, an account balance, or an instant discount.

Arrange and pay for the new component or upgrade through the normal process.

The original component is removed or surrendered to Yellow City Tech.

Parts Yellow City Tech originally supplied

If Yellow City Tech originally sold or installed the component—such as a GPU in a YCT-built or upgraded computer—an initial trade-in quote can often be prepared without a separate drop-off first when the part is still believed to be in good condition.

That initial quote is not final approval. The part must still be brought in, inspected, and tested. The value may change if its actual condition differs from what was described or expected, and the refund is issued only after final approval.

Back up important information when possible, be prepared to remove personal accounts or activation locks, and confirm that you have the right to sell the equipment. Do not send passwords, passcodes, bank credentials, payment-card information, or other sensitive authentication details through the public contact form.
